1 Corinthians 9-12

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” This statement was made by a fairly recent writer, George Santayana, but God stated this truth long ago. In fact in our passage for this week He says that the mistakes and sins of people from centuries ago were written down in the Bible so that we would learn from them (1 Cor. 10:11).

Jesus loves us so much and is doing a great work to change broken, rebellious people like us. One of the ways that He works change in us is by showing us the folly of sinful decisions that others have made and that we so readily make.
